What are the demographics of the people we serve today?

  • 81% Insured (99% HIV patients are insured)
  • 24% Black/African American, 64% Caucasian, 11% Latinx/Hispanic, <1% Asian or pacific Islander, <1% multi-racial
  • 89% non-Latinx/Hispanic & 11% Latinx/Hispanic
Of the HIV population
  • ~600 HIV positive clients (400 Illinois, 200 Iowa)
  • 43% Black/African American, 53% White, 1% Asian or Pacific Islander, 3% multi-racial
  • 18% Latinx/Hispanic & 82% non-Latinx/Hispanic
  • Women = 23% , Men = 70% , Transgender, Non-Binary, Other = 7%
  • 28% PWID (past or current)
  • 68% LGBTQ+

What makes TPQC unique today?

  • All services are at no cost to the patient or client.
  • 72% of TPQC staff identify as a member of the community or population we serve.
  • Low no show rates e.g., mental health 3%
  • All services can be performed at someone’s home, on-site, or outreach setting- we are completely mobile!
  • Operate under a syndromic model---- the goal is for less than 15% of patients require follow-up visit from previous visit e.g., designed same day STD results and treatment in 45 minutes or coordinated mental health, social worker, pharmacist, and provider intakes.
  • Transportation is free to all patients by TPQC staff, Uber, or other public transportation assistance.
  • Highest positivity rates in Illinois (not including Chicago) STDs--- we are good at finding and getting high-risk populations into services
  • Top outcomes across all programs in IA and IL
